Ekta Jain Launches Her New Collection for Spring/Summer 2006

The Ekta Jain label has been a 'best kept' secret for a while but now the new collection showcasing a unique, individual style is ready to be unveiled.

The collection consists of a number of co-ordinated ready to wear separates. Luxurious fabrics such as soft and tactile silks teamed together with excellent quality cotton, French seaming and hand embroidered embellishment. Each piece in the collection has been created with extra care focused on the small details that makes this collection highly individualistic and distinctive.

Ekta Jain's New Spring/Summer 06 Collection is inspired by the 'five senses'. This collection is an encounter of intricate detail and bright colours which is her trademark. The collection is based on western styling and shapes using Indian Silks and cottons in bright colours inspired by a land of various cultures.

The intricate detail of smocking used as an ebellishment feature in some of the pieces, is used to create a texture relating to the sense of 'touch'. The smoking technique which appears throughout the collection has been used to provide more flexibility in wear and to provide ease of movement to the wearer.

Bright colours and textured brocade fabrics are inspired from the sense of 'sight'. Jewel colours such as azure blue, emerald green and raspberry pinks complement the less muted shades of the Silk pieces in the collection.

This collection is aimed at the modern woman, at ease with herself and comfortable in any situation. She believes in fashion that will reassure her status and glamour. She has her own individual style and believes in her freedom to choose.

As befitting a classy collection, all garments are finished and lined in 100% silk. Each item in the collection is also a limited edition piece.
