Bag ladies are using pretty materials such as embroidered patches, ribbons, shells, sequins, semi-precious or non precious stones, plastic, gold or silver trinkets to style their bags. Key rings are also another bag accessory being used to customise a bag look.

This look complements the current ladylike trend of wearing brooches and pearls. Indeed customising a bag's look by using brooches and pearls is another way to incorporate a vintage update to the whole look.

For the past few seasons bags have appeared with their own leather or metal tags sold as part of the package. This trend in bag adornment has now moved on with separate bag charms now being added to the style mix.

Designers already in on the act include Marni who have complemented their bag range by selling matching charms to go with each bag, Mulberry whose bespoke accessories service includes a choice of leather initials. Juicy Couture also has a range of bag charms with their trademark heart symbol used as a hanging charm. The Juicy Couture range of charms can also be added to belts and bracelets.

While a designer bag can become in demand very quickly, customising a bag with a personal touch shows a little individuality.

Also look out for bags with chains and key rings. The look is an individual customised look and what better way to customise your bag then to use a unique bag accessory?
